How to overcome
your fear of starting
a blog or business?
Let's talk about overcoming your fear of blogging. Because I think many of you may think about starting your blog but never started.
I want to tell you about the insecurities that I brought to the table and how I overcame that fear. I know the mindset behind it.
Because you might look at writing and even look at the whole blog on your screen right now. when you start a business and you put yourself out there online specifically on the Internet.
You bring a lot of baggage to the table you bring a lot of insecurities for instance right now and you know I just started doing this.
So I feel that but blogging like specifically for me, I didn't get very good grades in English in high school.
I got terrible grades and my teachers picked me apart and made me feel bad because you know I tried to do good in high school. I tried to get all A's and make good grades.
But it didn't always happen and so I bring that to the table. And yeah they're some people on the internet who leave nasty comments but that's ok.
And you know those are the things that I feel and I think a lot of the fear that people have when starting something new is always that feeling of just not being good enough.
I just don't I think that's almost like a universal feeling people going through. I fear and insecurities are good but not much.
I think you're going to learn a lot not about ME but about how to overcome your fears of starting a blog.
So let's talk about how to overcome your fear of blogging and starting a blog so can any of you relate to the many fears that I had when we started trolls and people saying mean things about me.
So it's happened plenty of times to us not being good enough just, in general, starting in the wrong niche and having to start over again from scratch regretting our blog name.
That kept me from starting failure in the embarrassment from that failure people thinking less of me for quitting my real jobs and becoming bloggers.
And most of all fear of putting myself out there and exposing who I am to the world. I didn't have my faces on the blog for a long time because of this a lot of people do hide behind their blogs. Sometimes the fear of starting something becomes an addiction.
When my blog fails. It came with a lot of new fears that I wasn't expecting. that's pretty scary friends and family looking down on me.
so I am worried because actually, I failed a lot before. There are lots of bloggers out there who are the experts of and who have their blog on that niche. However, they've never started a successful blog in another niche or nation.
I felt like competing with that was going to be hard and it certainly hasn't been easy. but these were all the personal fears that we had.
we had tons of individual Fear. Now I mean it's just some young guide and not about weight loss or anything like that.
That's a real fear that my writing is not good enough. I talked a little bit about that in the intro but again very real fear.
whenever I start blogging and I want you to know that everyone feels some fears are most of these fears to an extent and you got to remember that everyone starts at zero with a new blog.
Everyone begins at zero and their social media accounts. Everyone has to build up their blog and their community from the ground up there's no way to get around this.
it's easy to look at the top but sometimes feel discouraged when you're first starting as I'll never get there. Just remember that those successful bloggers started at the bottom.
Two with the Information Age growing exponentially you have even more tools at your disposal than they did when they started.
The truth is that you guys have more things at your disposal especially with the knowledge that I am giving you through these blogs on how to start and how to be successful.
But what I want to do now is give you four steps that overcome your fear of blogging. These are general steps that you can help to overcome your fear of almost anything.
So I hope you guys get some really good content out of this. I know it's a little different to philosophize on this blog but I think you're going to like this.
Step number one is to realize you cannot eliminate fear so stop trying. I've read a lot of posts on this topic and I have to say I feel most people are doing this hundred percent wrong.
You cannot eliminate fears having fears keeps you alive. This is the truth of just how we are as animals, we are all mammals, we are all animals part of the animal kingdom.
And fear is something that is naturally built. Fear is something that keeps us from it keeps us paying the bills. and afraid to lose our apartment.
And it keeps me from getting fat because it keeps me from eating fudgesicles for breakfast fear and it keeps us from doing dumb things. So guys I want you to remember this and realize that fear cannot be eliminate and I think it shouldn't be.
So stop trying to eliminate your fears, stop trying to meditate, stop trying to you know stop trying all these techniques to eliminate your fears it's just not going to happen.
What you need to do is ....Just think about all that is going to end one day, so having to fear a joke. You know something now body cares about.
You need to get comfortable with knowing that fear can be a good thing. The golden life is never to eliminate pain or fear.
I mean what are you guys a robot. I've tried to do this before in my life for certain pains and fears that I've had in my relationships.
And at the end of the day you just kind of realized not a robot. you know the goal is learning how to deal with the fear and act accordingly confidence.
The best way to describe the feeling of fear and doing it anyway. That's it if you do one thing from this understand that it's fearing starting a blog and doing it anyway.
It's fearing talking to that cute guy or girl and doing it anyway you do not eliminate it. you have to learn how to operate within it, you have to learn how to use the fear.
And the cool thing is the things that you're afraid of when you do them usually you come across on the other side and here's a great strategy for this.
Step number two you also need to frame all mistakes and failures as learning lessons we talked about a lot but the first blog failed and I took what I learned from my failure.
It was just part of the journey that got us here even if your first blog does not succeed. guess what you will learn a lot from it.
If you truly commit to blogging and trying to do this thing you will learn a lot just from starting and doing it there are no mistakes only learning opportunities.
And remember it's all about your frame of mind. If you look at a lot of people will try to start a blog and if they fail they'll give up. And the problem with that is their frame is like I'm a failure, I'm not good enough, I couldn't make it happen, instead of framing it as what did I learn from this what can I take from this that's how you frame things that's how you frame even all your mistakes and failures into learning lessons.
And if that's the case you can never fail.
Step number three what happens to you if you do fail. this is one I snagged from Tim Ferriss a long time ago in his book the 4-hour workweek.
I use this technique when I was deciding to quit my part-time job in blog full-time. Remember I did this before I started making any money.
I believed in blogging enough that I quit my part-time job and started my blogging career full-time. So what I did to kind of overcome this fear is I sat down and wrote down some of the worst-case scenarios if I quit my jobs and gave this my everything what was the worst that could happen. And knowing that I have old parents' responsibility.
And this is what I came up with I lose my safety net are well full put only paying jobs to spend six-plus months blogging and never actually figure out how to make any real money from it.
So I lose a lot of money and time in the process and I have to crawl back near to my parents. My tails tucked between our butts. we would go back to and go back to my old jobs.
I get my old part-time job back and I slowly have to recoup what I lost going full-time blogging and live pretty cheaply for the next couple of months to do so.
I have to tell our friends and family we fail. this was it I mean that's the worst that can happen to me.

we think everybody's concerned with what we are doing and the failures we make and looking stupid and all of these things that real people don't even care about it.
they're not even thinking about it. People are not spending the majority of their days worrying about some dumb thing.
I said that they've got other stuff to deal with like real-life stuff and that's okay that's cool once you internalize this.
But I thing whatever it is, it might be a little depressing. If it's like kind of the first time for you it like realizing that... oh nobody cares about me.
But that's not what I'm saying here it's about internalizing the fact that it's freeing you up to act like yourself and to be who you are.
And to act on the things that how you feel waiting to start a blog is almost always centered around this. it's the fear of what others will think about you.
Hopefully, now you understand a little more why that's a very silly thing to be concerned about. You should understand this fear and address this and that's enough.
I have already published an article on the ten reasons why you should start your blog today?

So don't be that person that sits there and waits for the perfect time to happen and overcome your fear to start something new.
Our waits to overcome all your fears that we think that it's very good if they don't come again. And I think it's just not going to work like.
And I think you should start with whatever you have. Right now because that perfect time never comes. Whatever business you want to just start now.
"Because idea's never come truly formed, it's only become clear when you work on it." So you get started by going to creating a blog. You can start with a free blog to overcome your fear and I'm excited to see your blogs guys.

The fear of starting something
I want to talk about the fear of starting something maybe blogging business. Like I am very fear about starting my blogging journey.
And I always thought like If I had this thing, I could have started well and if I have money or if I am in this position then it is good?
we've all wanted to start or maybe even have started something that we have a dream of for a long time but never started because of fear.
Something that is there deep in our hearts that we want to fulfill but never done because of fear. And we always think of the end and we try to ignore the process.
So I always said that you can't finish anything until you start something but there's always the fear of expectation when we go to lose anything creative out to a world waiting it's the unknown.
So it does it stays in our head and it's safe there and it's warm and we can realize it but for us to lose it and get it out there to finish.
we have to start writing it down and as we write those features and as it starts to take shape in front of us the words just keep building and spilling off the page.
The world doesn't know you what you're going to be bringing out they have no expectation and so as you're projecting you have to be careful not to place it on the world.
It's enough for you to be able to meet your expectation without that other pressure.
And let's just say for instance that the world does have a certain level of expectation. I challenge you with this the world is not looking for another me - it's not looking for another copycat.
The world wants something fresh something innovative something constructive something for the first time they saw it. The world wants something as unique as your fingerprint.
The world wants your story. The world wants your idea. But that doesn't happen until you loosen and until you started.
So you have to get over that fear. I want you to understand that you're unique your ideas are unique.
So be who you are and so there should be no need for imposter syndrome because you're not trying to copy anybody.
Because it's coming from you your fingerprint your identity your dream. This is what you have and this is what the world doesn't want.
It's what the world needs that originality and that uniqueness that you have but you have to start now with what you have what you know it has to be now.
CONCLUSION
We all wanted to start something that we dream of, something that is seated deep in our hearts that we want to just fulfill. And wanted to present to the world. But we can't because of fear. So just start with what you have right now, where you are right now, just do it. And never wait for the special moment because that moment never comes in life. The most strange thing in the world is that we are alive. So go ahead!
START NOW...
